Welcome to Carl and Teddy Books—a children’s book series that invites young readers on exciting adventures around the world.
Carl, a shy but brave cat, and his loyal teddy bear friend Teddy travel from country to country, discovering new places, cultures, and experiences along the way. Each book opens a window into a different part of the world, introducing children to local traditions, food, landmarks, and animals through fun and engaging stories.
But their journey is about more than travel. Through their adventures, Carl and Teddy learn—and teach—important life lessons about friendship, kindness, courage, empathy, and teamwork. The stories are designed to help children grow emotionally, build confidence, and learn how to navigate the world with curiosity and respect for others.
Teddy often explores with playful curiosity by hiding in scenes and discovering hidden details, while Carl leads the way into new adventures, sometimes uncertain but always brave. Together, they show that everyone can grow by trying new things and supporting one another.

Our Illustrator
• Orhan
Orhan Ates was born in 1981 in Malatya, Turkey. He graduated from Inonu University Primary School Teaching and is a graduate student of Graphic Design Department. His interest in drawing since his childhood years turned from a hobby to an amateur cartoonist in 2017. He participated in many national and international cartoon competitions and received awards from these competitions and was selected for albums. Since 2019, he has started illustrating children's books for various publishing houses and making drawings for digital platforms and animations. He continues to work as an illustrator and teacher in Bursa.

Hi friends!
My name is Carl. I'm a little cat who loves adventures and is always curious about the world. Sometimes I'm a little shy and don't always dare to try new things right away. But with Teddy by my side, I find my courage and realize I can do much more than I first thought.
I love fresh milk, long cuddles, and my best friend Teddy. He'll introduce himself in just a moment.
Together, we travel the world, discover exciting countries, and make lots of new friends. But we don't just learn about different places—we also learn more about ourselves. We discover our strengths and become more confident with every adventure.
Even when we feel nervous or unsure, we don't let that stop us from exploring new things. Because we've learned that being brave doesn't mean you're never scared—it means trying anyway.

HI THERE!
I'm Teddy, and I'm so excited to tell you all about myself! Carl and I are best friends, and I get to join him on all of our adventures.
I'm a brown teddy bear with a cool white patch on my tummy and I just love being cuddled. Whenever someone feels sad, nervous, or unsure, I'm always there to comfort them and cheer them on.
Playing hide-and-seek is my specialty, and I bet I can find the best hiding spots! While Carl takes care of the big adventures, I love exploring all the little details in every scene. I often hide in the illustrations and can't wait for curious little readers to find me. After all, it's often the little things that make every place so special.
