Reviews
I read her the story of Carl and Teddy in Nicaragua, then heard there was another book where they are in Egypt. As an archaeologist, I think I was even more excited than she was to read about them sailing on the Nile River and exploring the country.
Neither of us was disappointed! Once again, Ms. Ak has written a wonderful story of friendship, but this time emphasizing the importance of perseverance.
I hope to hear that Carl and Teddy will continue with their adventures in future books.
My kids love the first book in the series where carl and teddy go into Egypt in search of the mysterious Sphinx. during the journey they encounter thought provoking questions and decisions to be made |
As a parent to 2 kids, the book has a lot of mileage as the story is very funny, engaging and builds upon friendship and camaraderie.
great book at a great price. This has been a great addition to our collection
My son really loves this book. He even learned a new word from it, ‘sukran’ and kept saying it for days 😊 He was very curious about what would happen next and listened with great attention. The story is simple, warm and encouraging. A lovely book for young children.
The kids I babysit absolutely loved the adventure through Egypt! They were so excited to see the next page that they wouldn’t let me turn it — they climbed over me to flip the pages themselves and keep the story going.
The quality of the book is also great!
This is a lovely book. I bought this because we have 2 cats and my kids love books with cats. This was a great book about a cat learning to keep going even when he is about to get up. Its good quality too
